PureHIIT is a full body high-intensity interval training session that uses weights as well as body weight exercises to strengthen the entire body. PureHIIT is an enhanced form of interval training alternating periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. PureHIIT focusses largely on cardiovascular exercises. These intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, improved glucose metabolism, and improved fat burning.
Level: All levels Zone 2
PureHIIT sessions consist of a warm up period of exercise, followed by three to ten repetitions of high intensity exercise, separated by medium intensity exercise for recovery, and ending with a series of cool down exercises. The high intensity exercise should be done at close to your maximum intensity. The medium exercise should be about half of your maximum intensity. The number of repetitions and length of each will depend on the exercise, guided by our instructors.
